Privacy Policy

This policy covers the apps published under the BalanGo brand by Oz for General Trading (“we”): BalanGo Social, BalanGo Speed Meter, BalanGo PC Tools Box, BalanGo Android Tools Box and BalanGo Luna. Each app handles information differently, so each has its own section below.

BalanGo Social (“the app”) is a dashboard used by social-media managers to organise clients and their brands and to publish videos to the social platforms those brands have connected. This section explains what we store and why.

Information we store

• Account & client records you enter — client and company names, contact details, notes, website and email records.
• Connection tokens — when you connect a YouTube, Facebook, Instagram or TikTok account, we store the access/refresh token that platform issues so we can publish on that account’s behalf. Tokens are stored encrypted at rest.
• Videos you upload — a video is sent through our server only to hand it to the platform(s) you selected. We do not build a permanent media library from it.
• An activity log of publish attempts (which account, when, success or the error returned) so you can see what was posted.

How we use it

Solely to provide the app to you: to display your records and to publish the content you choose to the accounts you connected. We do not sell your data or the data of any connected account, and we do not use it for advertising.

Third-party platforms

When you connect an account, the app interacts with that platform’s API on your behalf — Google/YouTube, Meta (Facebook & Instagram) and TikTok. Your use of those connections is also governed by each platform’s terms and privacy policy, including TikTok’s Privacy Policy. Data obtained from TikTok is used only to publish the content you request and is not shared with any other party.

Retention & deletion

Disconnecting an account deletes its stored token from our database. You can request deletion of any record, or of all your data, at any time using the contact below.

Security

The app is access-controlled behind a login, served over HTTPS, and connection tokens are encrypted at rest.

BalanGo Speed Meter is a Windows app that shows your live download and upload speed. It works entirely on your PC.

What we collect

Nothing. BalanGo Speed Meter has no account and makes no network connections of its own. The app itself sends no data to us or anyone else — no analytics, usage statistics or crash reports.

What the app uses on your PC

• Network adapter information — the names and byte counters of your network adapters, read from Windows to calculate speed. These stay on your PC.
• Your settings — the options you choose are saved in a settings file on your PC, under %LOCALAPPDATA%\BalangoSpeedMeter.
• Startup — if you turn on “Start when I sign in to Windows”, Windows records a startup entry for your user account. Turning the option off removes it.

Microsoft Store

If you get the app from Microsoft Store, Microsoft handles the download, installation and updates under its own privacy statement. Microsoft gives app publishers aggregate reports, such as install numbers and app health statistics that Windows collects; these do not identify you to us.

Removing your data

Uninstalling removes the app. Its settings file may remain; delete the BalangoSpeedMeter folder in %LOCALAPPDATA% to remove it.

BalanGo PC Tools Box is a Windows app with everyday PC tools: PC Health, a virtual Fn key, the speed meter, internet health, a WiFi analyzer, an IP and ports scanner, LAN File Transfer, LAN Messenger, Remote Control, Cloud Providers, Storage Manager, an equalizer and Audio Tools. It works on your PC and your own network.

What we collect

Nothing. The app has no account, and sends nothing to us: no analytics, usage statistics, crash reports or ads. We run no server that your data passes through.

What stays on your PC

• Settings and history — your options, language, names you give devices, saved scans, Internet Health results, transfer history, equalizer presets, messenger contacts and the devices you trust are saved in %LOCALAPPDATA%\BalangoToolsBox.
• Keys and passwords — the app’s device key (used to encrypt and verify LAN connections) and any Mega or FTP password you ask it to remember are encrypted with Windows (DPAPI), so that only your Windows user can read them.
• Windows information — network speeds and data usage, the WiFi networks around you, sensor readings, and the files and folders you scan are read from Windows on your PC and are not sent anywhere.
• Microphone and camera — used only during a LAN Messenger call you start or accept, or while you test a device in its settings.
• Startup — if you turn on “Start when I sign in to Windows”, Windows records a startup entry for your user account. Turning the option off removes it.

When the app uses the network

Only when you use a tool that needs it, and only with the places listed here. Connections between your own devices go directly from device to device on your network, or over Tailscale or a VPN if you use one, never through a BalanGo server.

• Internet Health pings your router and 1.1.1.1 (Cloudflare) while you monitor or trace a route. A speed test runs only when you click it, and exchanges test data with Cloudflare (speed.cloudflare.com), which sees your IP address as any website does.
• IP & Ports Scanner pings and checks ports on the address range you scan. The list of network-card makers is downloaded from wireshark.org only when you ask.
• Cloud Providers connects only to Mega and to the FTP servers you add, with the account details you enter. OneDrive and Google Drive are used through the folders of their own Windows apps; the Tools Box doesn’t sign in to them. Your PC’s drives (including network, DVD/CD and RAM drives) are read by Windows like any other folder.
• LAN File Transfer talks only to PCs and phones on your network running a BalanGo Tools Box. Transfers are encrypted, and nothing is saved until the receiver accepts, unless the receiver has marked your device as trusted.
• LAN Messenger works only while you are Online or Away, or for devices you trust. It shows your chosen name and PC name to others on your network running the app; chats, files and calls go directly from device to device, end-to-end encrypted, and are not stored by us or any server. A trusted device is one you mark yourself: its chats open at once, its files arrive without asking, and it can reach you while you are Offline. You can remove the trust at any time.
• Remote Control lets you see and control your own phones and PCs, and lets them see and control this PC: the screen picture, mouse and keyboard, the clipboard and the files you send. It works only between devices running a BalanGo Tools Box. Every connection is encrypted and both devices prove who they are with their device keys. This PC can be controlled only while you have switched sharing on, and each new device is asked about first (Allow, Allow always or Decline) unless you have marked it as trusted.
• Phone camera receives your phone’s camera picture directly from the phone, encrypted, only after the phone allows this PC. Used as a webcam, the picture is handed to your other apps on this PC only; recordings are saved in your Videos folder.
• Update from local network copies a newer version of the app between your own PCs, only when you say yes.

Tools that never use the network

• PC Health reads the PC’s sensors, and its Performance recorder notes which programs were busy when the PC hangs. Both stay on this PC.
• Keyboard sees which keyboard a key comes from, only to run the Fn shortcuts you set for it. It doesn’t record what you type and sends nothing.
• Storage Manager scans the drives and folders of this PC, including the media WhatsApp Desktop keeps on it. It deletes only the files you select and confirm, moving them to the Recycle Bin, and cleans up space only when you ask.
• Audio Tools cuts and converts only the files you choose, and writes new files without overwriting the originals. Its MCP server, for AI assistants, runs only when an AI app on this PC starts it, works only on the local files that app names, and sends nothing to us.
• Windows Equalizer writes its settings for Equalizer APO on your PC.

Removing your data

Delete the BalangoToolsBox folder in %LOCALAPPDATA% to remove everything the app saved. Uninstalling the app removes the app itself.

BalanGo Android Tools Box (package com.balango.toolsbox) is an Android app with everyday phone tools: a speed meter and data usage, internet health and a speed test, a WiFi analyzer, an IP and ports scanner, LAN Messenger, LAN File Transfer, Remote Control with PC Camera, Storage Manager, Audio Tools and phone sensors. It works on your phone and your own network.

What we collect

Nothing. The app has no account, no ads, no analytics, no crash reporting and no in-app purchases, and it sends nothing to us. We collect no personal or sensitive data and share none with anyone. We run no server that your data passes through.

What stays on your phone

Your settings, language, data-usage figures, speed-test history, messenger contacts and chats, the devices you trust and the names you give devices are saved in the app’s own storage on your phone. The device key that encrypts and verifies LAN connections is kept in Android’s keystore. The app turns off Android’s cloud backup, so none of this is copied off the phone. Clearing the app’s storage or uninstalling it removes everything.

Accessibility service (Remote Control)

The app includes an accessibility service named BalanGo Remote Control. It exists for one feature: letting a phone or PC that you allowed control this phone through Remote Control › Share this phone. It is off until you turn it on yourself in Android’s accessibility settings, and it acts only while Share this phone is on and an allowed device is connected. It then performs the taps, swipes and button presses (Back, Home, Recents) that device sends, and types the text it sends into the text field that has focus; to do that it reads only that focused field. It does not record, log or collect what is on your screen or what you type, and it sends nothing to us or anyone else. Without it, the other device can still see the screen but cannot control it.

Permissions and why they are used

• Internet and network state — for the tools listed below under “When the app uses the network”, and to tell WiFi from mobile data.
• Usage access (you grant it in Android’s settings) — Data usage reads Android’s own per-day network statistics to show WiFi and mobile data per day, month and app. Nothing leaves the phone.
• Location and Nearby WiFi devices — Android returns WiFi scan results and the WiFi name only to apps with this permission; the WiFi Analyzer uses it to list nearby networks. Your location itself is never read or stored.
• Display over other apps — only for the optional floating speed meter you switch on.
• Notifications and foreground services — the status-bar speed meter, Internet Health monitoring, LAN Messenger presence and calls, LAN File Transfer, PC Camera, screen sharing and saving media show an ongoing notification while they run, with a Stop button; messages and incoming files notify you.
• All files access (Android 11 and later; storage permission on older versions) — Storage Manager measures every folder to show what fills the phone, and shows the photos, videos and voice notes of WhatsApp, Camera, Downloads or a folder you pick. It opens, shares, saves or deletes only the files you select and confirm. File names and contents never leave the phone, except files you choose to send.
• Screen capture — Android asks you each time you start Remote Control › Share this phone. The screen picture goes only to the device you allowed, and only while sharing is on; a notification shows it the whole time.
• Camera and microphone — for LAN Messenger audio and video calls you start or answer, and for PC Camera, which sends the camera picture to a PC you allowed. The microphone is used by PC Camera only when you record a video on the phone itself.
• Physical activity — only if you tap “Enable step counting” in Phone Sensors, to show the step-counter sensor.
• Start at boot — restarts the speed meter after a restart, if you turned that option on.
• Vibrate, WiFi multicast, wake lock — for LAN Messenger’s Shake, for finding devices on your WiFi, and to keep PC Camera running with the screen off.
• Installed apps with a launcher icon — Data usage names the apps that used data. The list stays on the phone.

When the app uses the network

• Speed test — only when you tap it, test data to and from Cloudflare (speed.cloudflare.com), which sees your IP address as any website does.
• Internet Health pings your router and 1.1.1.1 (Cloudflare) while you monitor, or the address you trace, and times a DNS lookup of balangoz.com.
• IP & Ports Scanner pings, port checks and name queries only to the addresses you scan; Wake-on-LAN only when you tap it.
• LAN Messenger — only while you are Online or Away in it: it shows your name and phone model to devices on your WiFi running a BalanGo Tools Box; messages, files and calls go end-to-end encrypted directly to the phones and PCs you chat with.
• LAN File Transfer — encrypted, directly device to device, and nothing is saved until the receiver accepts, unless the receiver has marked your device as trusted.
• Remote Control — the screen picture, touches and keys, the clipboard and the files you send go encrypted, directly between your own devices running a BalanGo Tools Box, and each new device is asked about first (Allow, Allow always or Decline) unless you trust it.
• PC Camera — the camera picture goes encrypted, directly to the PC you allowed, only while you have PC Camera on.

These device-to-device connections use your WiFi, or Tailscale or a VPN if you use one. They never pass through a BalanGo server. Storage Manager, Audio Tools, Phone Sensors, the WiFi Analyzer and Data usage send nothing.

Removing your data

Clear the app’s storage in Android’s settings, or uninstall the app, to remove everything it saved. Nothing is held anywhere else. Questions: apps@balangoz.com.

BalanGo Luna is an app for learning words in English, Arabic, Spanish and French, with pictures and sounds. It is for learners of any age and works offline. An online account is optional.

Without an online account (free)

We collect nothing. Everything stays on your device:

• Learners and groups you add: a name and a date of birth for each learner, the group they belong to, and a picture for a learner or group if you choose one.
• Learning progress: which cards each learner has seen and which languages they heard.
• Your settings: languages, number digits and Play all options.
• Levels you make: the pictures you choose from your device, the names you type, and the sounds you record or import.

The app has no ads, no analytics and no crash reporting.

Microphone and pictures

• The microphone is used only while you record a word in a level you are making.
• Pictures are used only when you pick one for a level you are making, or for a learner or group.

Recordings and pictures stay on your device unless you sync them with an online account.

With an online account (optional, paid)

An online account keeps your learners, progress and levels on all your devices, and backs them up. To provide that, we store:

• Your account: your email address and a password (stored only as a secure hash). If you sign in with Google, Google shares your name, email address and profile picture with us.
• Your plan: whether your account is free or paid.
• What you sync: your groups, learners (names and dates of birth) and their progress, and the levels you make with their pictures and recordings. Pictures of learners and groups are synced only if you turn on “Sync pictures of learners and groups” on that device.
• Requests & ideas you send: your message, an optional contact email, the app language, your device type, and a random ID for your installation of the app. We use these only to answer you and to plan the app.
• Notification token: if your device allows notifications, a token from Google Firebase Cloud Messaging lets us tell you when we answer a request. It is deleted when you sign out.

How we use it

Only to provide the app to you: to sign you in, sync and back up your data, answer your requests, and send you notifications about them. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.

Services we use

• Supabase stores online accounts and synced data, on servers in the European Union (Frankfurt).
• Cloudflare R2 stores the pictures and recordings you sync. They are private: only your signed-in account can reach them.
• Google provides Sign in with Google and delivers notifications (Firebase Cloud Messaging).
• Google Play, the App Store and Microsoft Store handle downloads, installs and payments under their own privacy policies. We receive aggregate reports from them that do not identify you.

Keeping and deleting your data

• Signing out keeps everything on your device.
• Uninstalling the app removes everything it stored on your device.
• Deleting your online account: in the app, open Profile, tap ⋯ next to Sign out, then Delete online account. We delete your account, everything synced to it (including its pictures and recordings) and your requests. You can also ask us to delete it using the contact below.
• If a paid plan ends: what you synced stays in your account until the end of the period you paid for, and we warn you in the app before we delete the synced pictures and recordings. Nothing on your devices is deleted.

Security

Data travels over HTTPS. On our servers, each account can read and change only its own data.
